Welcome to my ceramic art gallery, I’m delighted you’ve come to visit with me.
I live with my husband in Silver Star, Montana, a rural area on the Jefferson River. Nature provides support for my work, through the river, the beautiful Tobacco Root Mountains, the clear Montana sky, and brilliant sunlight.
Earthenware clay is my first choice of material for my art for its soft appearance and satisfying tactile quality. I often finish with a Native American pit firing technique. This method supports my efforts to preserve the nature of the clay body while setting free the soul of the piece.
Most often I start with a vessel and sculpt my images in the walls. I also sculpt free standing forms. My usual theme is the emerging strength of female individuality. I celebrate my own power and seek to expand my consciousness through engaging in artistic activity.
